Once an apprentice himself, James founded TMJ in 1981 and hasn’t looked back since. Over the past 40 years James has actively led the ever-growing team to great success. With a huge passion for Training and Development, James has been an advocate for reinvestment in both our works and people.

Joined the TMJ team in 2008

Joining TMJ just after leaving school, Tim was delighted to have been selected to take part in TMJ’s apprenticeship program. Upon completion Tim quickly progressed through the company working in many departments to gain further knowledge and finally in 2020 joined the Board of Directors, heading TMJ’s Aspire division.

Martin Holmes

Projects Director

Joined the TMJ team in 2004

Martin joined TMJ to manage the Design Department, before being promoted to manage the Project Management team. In 2007, Martin was appointed to the Board of Directors as Projects Director and now heads up our Landmark Division delivering some of the country’s most prestigious specialist and residential projects. One of Martins greatest achievements was being the Director responsible for the delivery of the RIBA award winning Bloomberg European Head Quarters.

Joined the TMJ Team in 2009

Sarah started at TMJ as Business Development Manager. Her passion for developing both relationships and the business led to Sarah being promoted to the Board of Directors in 2017; the first female Board member in TMJ’s history. Continuing to succeed in her career, Sarah was promoted to Pre-Contracts Director in 2018.

Having been conducting business consultancy since 2013, Nick has a wide range of business interests. Nick's role as the Non Executive Director at TMJ is to support the Board of Directors and inject new ideas to help with company growth.

Alex Pirie

Production Director

Joined the TMJ team in 2024

Alex started at TMJ as a Bench Joiner progressing to Site and Contracts Manager in 1993, working on a range of prestigious projects including Windsor Castle, high quality residentials and high end commercial offices. He has recently returned to TMJ after nearly 20 years working for main contractors, gaining a wealth of industry experience delivering projects including 2012 Olympic Stadium and a range of boutique fitouts. Returning to TMJ as Production Director, Alex looks forward to sharing his knowledge and experience across all stages of preconstruction and delivery.

Joined the TMJ team in 1992

Starting his career at TMJ as a Bench Joiner, Pat was quickly promoted to Workshop Foreman and then Workshop Manager. In line with TMJ’s growth and success Pat joined the Board of Directors in 2007. Pat has overseen some of TMJ’s most prestigious projects including Windsor Castle and the Royal Opera House..

Peter started TMJ as a Bench Joiner and has progressed throughout the company in nine various roles before being promoted to the Board of Directors in 2015. Now heading up our Pioneer Division, Peter is focused on repeat business and ensuring smooth delivery of our large commercial projects.

After many years working on TMJ sites fixing our joinery, Georgi started his TMJ journey as a Trainee Project Manager. His proactive and dedicated approach led him to being promoted to Projects Director, working on some of our most high profile commercial projects leading our Aspire Division.

Joined the TMJ Team in 2001

Mark has worked his way up throughout the company, spending time in most of our departments including our Joinery Shop and the Veneer Department. Mark always had a flair for site work and progressed to site manager and then to Project Manager before being promoted to Projects Director. Mark heads up our Alliance Division, delivering our specialist and prestigious projects.
