Founded TMJ in 1981
Once an apprentice himself, James founded TMJ in 1981 and hasn’t looked back since. Over the past 40 years James has actively led the ever-growing team to great success. With a huge passion for Training and Development, James has been an advocate for reinvestment in both our works and people.

Joining TMJ just after leaving school, Tim was delighted to have been selected to take part in TMJ’s apprenticeship program. Upon completion Tim quickly progressed through the company working in many departments to gain further knowledge and finally in 2020 joined the Board of Directors, heading TMJ’s Aspire division.

Martin joined TMJ to manage the Design Department, before being promoted to manage the Project Management team. In 2007, Martin was appointed to the Board of Directors as Projects Director and now heads up our Landmark Division delivering some of the country’s most prestigious specialist and residential projects. One of Martins greatest achievements was being the Director responsible for the delivery of the RIBA award winning Bloomberg European Head Quarters.

Sarah started at TMJ as Business Development Manager. Her passion for developing both relationships and the business led to Sarah being promoted to the Board of Directors in 2017; the first female Board member in TMJ’s history. Continuing to succeed in her career, Sarah was promoted to Pre-Contracts Director in 2018.

Having been conducting business consultancy since 2013, Nick has a wide range of business interests. Nick's role as the Non Executive Director at TMJ is to support the Board of Directors and inject new ideas to help with company growth.

Alex started at TMJ as a Bench Joiner progressing to Site and Contracts Manager in 1993, working on a range of prestigious projects including Windsor Castle, high quality residentials and high end commercial offices. He has recently returned to TMJ after nearly 20 years working for main contractors, gaining a wealth of industry experience delivering projects including 2012 Olympic Stadium and a range of boutique fitouts. Returning to TMJ as Production Director, Alex looks forward to sharing his knowledge and experience across all stages of preconstruction and delivery.

Starting his career at TMJ as a Bench Joiner, Pat was quickly promoted to Workshop Foreman and then Workshop Manager. In line with TMJ’s growth and success Pat joined the Board of Directors in 2007. Pat has overseen some of TMJ’s most prestigious projects including Windsor Castle and the Royal Opera House..

Peter started TMJ as a Bench Joiner and has progressed throughout the company in nine various roles before being promoted to the Board of Directors in 2015. Now heading up our Pioneer Division, Peter is focused on repeat business and ensuring smooth delivery of our large commercial projects.

After many years working on TMJ sites fixing our joinery, Georgi started his TMJ journey as a Trainee Project Manager. His proactive and dedicated approach led him to being promoted to Projects Director, working on some of our most high profile commercial projects leading our Aspire Division.

Mark has worked his way up throughout the company, spending time in most of our departments including our Joinery Shop and the Veneer Department. Mark always had a flair for site work and progressed to site manager and then to Project Manager before being promoted to Projects Director. Mark heads up our Alliance Division, delivering our specialist and prestigious projects.

Abi began her career at TMJ as Reception Assistant whilst studying for her Business Management Degree. In 2013, Abi moved to the Business Development Department, building new client relationships, helping the team grow the company. After great success, in 2019 Abi was promoted to Senior Business Development Manager.

After graduating in furniture design in 2004 Andy has gained a wide range of experience in joinery design and project management leading to his role at TMJ where he works closely with businesses to develop our supply chain network

As a qualified Architect, Barret joined TMJ as a Project Manager with a wealth of design knowledge and experience. Barret works on our super prime residential and commercial packages as a key member of the Landmark Team.

Starting his career at TMJ as an Estimator, Brett was promoted to Estimating Manager in 2020. Leading a team of 6 Brett is responsible for the day to day running of the department. His favourite project to be involved into date is Bloomberg, a project he played an active role in pricing.

Starting her career as Site Administrator, Charlotte quickly found a passion for site delivery and became a Trainee Site Manager. Within four years Charlotte has focused on training and development and is now a Project Manager, delivering some of the most prestigious commercial projects in the UK for the Aspire Team.

Chris started at TMJ as a Site Fixer, before becoming a Site Manager in 2002. Promoted to Project Manager in 2008, one of Chris’s greatest achievements at TMJ was becoming a member of CIOB. Chris is a valued member of the Pioneer Team and was pivotal to the successful delivery of the Microsoft Flagship Store in London.

Dan started at TMJ as a Bench Joiner Apprentice, where we won Apprentice of the Year three years in a row. Transitioning to our site delivery team, Dan proved to be an excellent Site Manager offering a solution led approach on some of our challenging projects. In 2023, Dan was promoted to Project Manager and is in his final year studying a BSc in Construction Management.

Joining the TMJ Team in 1986 as an Apprentice, David has had many roles within his time at TMJ, and his long-standing role as Design Department Manager has proven to be a great success. David heads up our Design Department alongside Max Rogers, overseeing Design Development across our multitude of projects.

Joining TMJ as a Trainee Site Manager, Gerry quickly progressed in the same year to Site Manager. With his practical and efficient approach Gerry was promoted to Project Manager in 2020 and has worked on some of our most high profile commercial projects as a key member of the Pioneer Team.

Whilst completing her masters in Human Resource Management, Hannah’s career started as PA to our Managing Director. She then moved into our HR Department as Assistant HR Manager. Upon completion of her qualification, Hannah joined the Senior Management Team and was promoted to HR Manager.

Josh brings a wealth of knowledge supporting TMJ with all things technical. Starting TMJ as an Assistant IT & Systems Manager, Josh now heads up the department, being promoted to IT and Systems Manager. Josh works daily to develop technical solutions that improve processes and solve business problems.

Upon joining TMJ, Laura started on our reception of what was then our new premises at Manor Wood. Fast forward over 30 years and Laura is still based at Manor Wood, however, has trained and progressed through the company, now responsible for all buying activity for the business.

Starting at TMJ as a Project Planner, Lewis was given the opportunity to become a Trainee Project Manager, spending time in different departments learning all aspects of the business. Thriving in this position Lewis was promoted to Project Manager successfully delivering projects for the Pioneer Team.

Marcus joined TMJ as a Health and Safety Advisor in 2022 and quickly progressed to a Health, Safety and Sustainability Department Manager in 2024 due to his practical and effective approach. Marcus has been a part of some of TMJ's high profile projects to oversee all aspects of risk management on site and within our Bildeston factory.

Max joined the TMJ team as a Bench Joiner Apprentice and on completion went on to mentor and develop others at TMJ. Max's experience of production processes now sees him managing a team of Production Technicians to oversee and deliver designs to production using the latest manufacturing software.

Starting in our Finishing Department, Nick was quickly offered the position of Site Manager. Whilst in this role his favourite project was Albion Riverside with Foster + Partners. Now promoted to Project Manager Nick works on many of our super prime residential packages and is a key member of the Landmark Team.

Rob started at TMJ as Project Manager with a wealth of knowledge and experience. He enjoys delivering high levels of quality on some of the most prestigious commercial projects in the UK for the Aspire Team.

Rob started his career in the joinery workshop and over the years progressed through the ranks, venturing out on site installing and eventually supervising teams of his own. Supervision soon turned into Contracts Management in the commercial fit out sector, delivering turnkey projects throughout the South East. With a wealth of knowledge and experience, he has joined TMJ as a Project Manager.

Stuart joined the team as a bench joiner, quickly moving into the Estimating and Surveying Department the following year. As the business grew this one department became two and Stuart continued to focus on Surveying now heading up the team as Senior Surveyor.
