TMJ have a wealth of experience working within BREEAM/ WELL/ SKA/ LEED schemes and are familiar with the credits required and how they can be achieved in order for projects to accomplish their set criteria’s.
We were one of the first joinery contractors to become accredited to all three Chain of Custody Schemes; FSC®, PEFC and Forest Products. We source timber from ONLY sustainable forests, having minimal impact on the environment.
Over the past 40 years we have adopted many environmental initiatives both at our manufacturing facility and on site some of these include:
Two biomass boilers which burn our waste to generate heating for both our workshop and offices
Our water harvester collects rain water which is reused at TMJ to flush toilets.
Motion sensor LED lighting and Solar panels
Our waste to landfill is ZERO, all of our waste is recycled
Technology is crucial to ensure that waste is designed out at an early stage using state of the art technology
We pride ourselves on the relationship we have with the local community and charities. We have worked on many initiatives ‘giving something back’ to the wider community and continue to engage to do more. We are also advocates of charities, supporting a minimum of two annually and hosting events to raise funds.
We have a commitment to enable TMJ to have a powerful reputation, not only for joinery but for our sustainable strategy surrounding environmental ethos, diversity and inclusion.
