On Wednesday, the TMJ team attended the Suffolk Skills Show at Trinity Park, Ipswich. This was a great opportunity for us to meet the future of the construction industry. There were 5000 ambitious young adults ready to start their journeys in the working world looking for apprenticeships and work placements. We currently employ 9 apprentices across TMJ in the Workshop, Accounting and Health and Safety departments.

As a company we are always recruiting apprentices and the show presented the perfect opportunity to widen our reach. Our stand included a fun Instagram selfie booth allowing potential candidates to don a hard hat and hi-vis and interact with our team of 5 employees from across the business regarding becoming part of the TMJ team.

The show fitted perfectly with TMJ’s ethos regarding company growth and ‘growing our own’ talent pool.
