Movac TMJ’s paint specialists delivered an in-depth training course on Water Based Coatings to six staff members from TMJ.
The sessions took place in Movac’s specifically designed Training Centre in Peterborough, which is equipped with a fully enclosed thermostatically controlled dry filter spraybooth, cleaning area, full dust-free preparation room and meeting room for theory along with a question and answer period.
The course covered a wide range of topics from; PPE; Health and Safety; issues linked to repairs and touch-ups; and cleaning spray equipment properly. Graham Leggett, Industrial Technical and Training Manager, who delivered the training said ‘All six operatives who I trained over the six days will return back to TMJ with better knowledge. They are now better equipped to produce professional work, reduce paint and lacquer coats to avoid wastage and get the job done methodically to reduce completion time.’
Cheryl Hardacre, Environmental, Quality and Training Manager from TMJ said ‘The team were all very positive about the training – what they have learnt and how it will have a positive impact on the work they carry out. They felt there was a good balance of theory and practical with great trainers offering lots of examples and explanation, allowing the attendees to gain a real understanding as to why it is done in such a way. Despite a lot of experience within the team, they all took something from the training and learnt new techniques to enhance their skills.’
