We are proud of our environmentally-friendly initiatives in our workshop; our rainwater harvester is used to flush toilets, low occupancy areas have motion sensor lighting, and our dust extraction has an ecogate, which means that when the machine is not in use, the ‘gates’ that open to the dust extraction system are closed to prevent unnecessary use and reduce energy consumption. A Power Factor Correction (PFC) unit has also been installed to keep the power consumption level constant, preventing waste and lowering energy consumption and bills. Our two biomass burners, which are fuelled by wood offcuts and the contents of the dust extraction system, are used to heat the workshop, and LED lighting is installed throughout TMJ, with one area alone saving 2689kg of CO2.
TMJ hope to see a saving in excess of 27000kg of CO2, a total reduction of 47.50%.
