A leader within the UK construction market offering bespoke joinery solutions for Commercial, Residential and Specialist projects. We are a fast-growing joinery / interior fit out company and this is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic and innovative Quantity Surveyor to join our Team.
About the Role
This role will be based in Bildeston (30mins from Ipswich/15mins from Stowmarket), Suffolk and is an excellent opportunity for a switched-on individual to join the business, working alongside the Commercial team supporting our Project Delivery Teams. The role will manage the day-to-day commercial control, reporting, and management of multiple projects from initial award to final account.
The role is responsible for effective commercial control, including provision of timely and accurate documentation, including CVR’s, cash flow forecasts, valuations and subcontractor assessments
We require someone who is highly motivated, a great communicator, able to demonstrate an astute attention to detail, along with having a logical approach to work and excellent time management skills
Experience is preferred within a similar industry but not essential.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to
- Develop and maintain strong business relationships with Clients, inhouse teams and Subcontractors.
- Providing accurate project cost monitoring, forecasting and reporting to completion in line with the project cost plan.
- Pro-actively monitoring and managing cost variance and contract cash flow, and ensuring that applications are made correctly and on time
- Submission of monthly valuations and produce cashflow forecasts.
- Ensure that procurement of Subcontractor and Supplier accounts is undertaken in a timely and cost-effective manner and managed through to project completion.
Position Requirements
- Excellent IT, analytical and communication skills
- Strong mathematical ability
- Practical knowledge of quantity surveying procedures and commercial awareness
- Willing to undertake additional training as and where required.
- Understand the implications of decisions on the financial objectives and value of the company.
- The ability to work to within a busy team and under pressure.
