Design Office Assistant

Full Time – 41.5 Hour Basic Week

Salary – Competitive and Negotiable (dependent upon experience)

A leader within the UK construction market offering bespoke joinery solutions for Commercial, Residential and Specialist projects.

We are currently looking for a Design Office Assistant to join our in-house design team.  The position is ideally suited to a well organised and proactive individual who is looking to learn and develop new skills in a design led environment.  The role is largely administrative and often fast paced, requiring the successful candidate to provide supporting to our in-house Design project delivery teams collating specifications, managing samples and project documentation along with assisting the Department Manager with daily and weekly administrative tasks.

Main Responsibilities are but not limited to:

  • Assist and support the Design Dept Manager.
  • Assist and support our in-house Design Teams in the set-up and day to day running of their projects.
  • Maintain and organise the project sampling and technical submittal process.
  • Coordinating project information between internal teams and external customers
  • QA check internally produced drawings and documents prior to issue.
  • Assist in the continues improvement of systems and processes company wide.

Experience within the joinery or design environment beneficial, although not essential, as full training will be given.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Reliable, committed, and hardworking with a genuine interest and desire to gain new skills
  • The ability to follow tasks from creation to completion
  • Good organisational skills, with the ability to work well under pressure
  • Ability to work as an active team member whilst equally comfortable working alone
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good IT skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams.
