Training and passing on skill is key to TMJ’s success and we commend our dedicated and loyal team for this. We are always on the lookout for ambitious and talented people to come and join our team and we are incredibly proud of our staff retention; some of our team have been with us since 1981when it all started!

As an Apprentice at TMJ, you will be sent on block release (normally 2 weeks per block) to The Building Crafts College in Stratford, London, who specialise in various crafts skills including Joinery.

Once back in the workshop, you will be partnered with an experienced member of staff, who will pass on their skills, knowledge and experience, training you in the high standards that are expected of TMJ employees. This will enable you to develop and learn the skills required to become an experienced joiner yourself over time.

TMJ have been ‘commended for our capabilities of training Apprentices and have surpassed the required standards’ Paul McCarthy from Connect Education and Business; who was visiting on behalf of Hadleigh High School.

Every year TMJ aims to employee a minimum of two Apprentices and our Apprentices have proven to be the foundation of our evolving Management Team.
