Congratulations to our apprentice, Austen Virr who has successfully received the Worshipful Company of Joiners and Ceilers Award. This award was for the Best Performing Second Year Timber Crafts Student.
Austen is in his 2nd year at The Building Crafts College London currently studying Bench Joinery, the award was based on the work produced throughout the year- the master piece being a hand crafted a solid walnut and ash table, which Austen designed using CAD technology. Austin’s tutors made some wonderful comments about his work!
There was an award ceremony held at the Carpenters Hall, Livery Hall on Thursday 24th November for the prize winners, James Taylor who was once an apprentice himself attended, along with Richard Easey TMJ’s Workshop Manager and Cheryl Hardacre TMJ’s Training and Development Administrator.
A very well done Austen!
