Austin Virr, Luke Auton and Daniel Willis have successfully completed their Level 2 in Bench Joinery at The Building College, Stratford. Completing their final year in 2017, leaving with an NVQ Level 3 and Diploma in Bench Joinery.
As part of their course work they had to design in CAD a bench seat, which they then had to construct, without a screw in sight! The benches are made out of solid teak and incorporated the following jointing methods; haunch mortise, mitred tenon, halve-lap joints, tongue and groove. The benches were then stained in teak oil and polished.
Excellent job!
