Production Designer

A leader within the UK construction market offering bespoke joinery solutions for Commercial, Residential and Specialist projects.

We are currently looking for a Production Schedulers at TMJ take 2D and 3D project drawings and create production packs for our manufacturing department. Our ideal candidate would be highly organised, with the ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure in a fast-moving department. 

The position is predominantly Monday to Friday, however there is an element of flexibility to cover some overtime as and when needed.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Interpreting design drawings into manufacturing data
  • Quantifying of materials
  • Evaluate design and suggest efficiency improvements. 
  • Program woodcutting software. 
  • Maintaining and updating standard parts to assist in productivity and workflow.

Previous experience in a joinery, shop fitting or cabinet making role is essential and ideally you have time served on the bench and be looking for a new challenge.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Machining methods
  • Experience in Magi-Cut preferred although not essential as full training given.
  • AutoCAD experience or Solidworks preferred
